Job Description

We are proud to be partnering with a multinational Financial Services company, who are hiring a Travel Security Manager to be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This is a unique opportunity to run the global Travel Security programme group wide, whilst supporting the in-country Crisis Management teams. Reporting into the Director of Security and Resilience, you’ll ensure the safe passage of travel for all employees globally and coordinate crisis response efforts. This can be everything from event security planning and executive travel to large-scale group trips and emergency/disaster response.

This position is at the heart of the business, enabling all local business units to utilise the service and stay informed on any emerging risks to the region, so communication is vital to the success of this position.

Main Duties

  • Maintain the Security and Crisis Management standards across the region.
  • Proactively monitor risks and threats across the region, creating reports, internal publications and diagnostics for a range of stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Manage the business relationships with third party service providers, ensuring adherence to SLAs and internal standards.
  • Create effective emergency response plans and contingency strategies for all travel events and crisis situations.
  • Perform ad-hoc risk assessments, at a site, situation and regional level.
  • Deliver training and best practices to travellers and members of the Crisis Management teams.
  • Provide continued support during crisis situations, delivering insight and offering recommendations throughout.

Key Skills

  • Previous experience in managing a Travel Security programme and/or coordinating Crisis Response.
  • Experience in a Travel Security or Crisis Management service provider is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience monitoring travellers, offering support across all manner of incidents.
  • Experience producing intelligence reports.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Ability to clearly deliver information to a variety of audiences, verbally and written.
  • Good understanding of geopolitical and environmental risks across Asia and Africa.
  • Able to operate in a dynamic environment.
  • Professional proficiency in English is a must.

Although the preference is for someone to be based in Malaysia, they would be very happy to consider relocating someone from outside the country. However, this isn’t an expat role – but an amazing opportunity to be based in this vibrant and exciting region!
