We are excited to collaborate with a top global FMCG firm in their search for an Arabic speaking, Security & Safety Manager for Saudi Arabia. This is an opportunity to lead the Security & Safety organization, managing all related activities within the affiliate. In this role, you will serve as the primary contact and trusted advisor to the Affiliate Security & Safety teams and Affiliate management.

Your responsibilities will include planning, implementing, driving, and monitoring security and market/fleet safety programs to address and mitigate all risks to people and reputation. You will work to minimize fleet-related accidents, injuries, fatalities, security losses, and property damage. Ensuring all risk mitigation plans and emergency response procedures are implemented, updated, and compliant with local legislation is crucial to avoid business disruptions.

Your day-to-day:

  • Lead the local Security & Safety organization according to corporate strategy and Company commitments. Evaluate emerging business models for potential Security & Safety risks, highlighting exposures with affiliate management and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve Security & Safety issues within the affiliate. Maintain situational awareness of the country, including external and internal risk exposure and road accident trends, to inform business decisions.
  • Conduct functional security and market/fleet safety risk assessments and reviews at the affiliate level, addressing risks and non-conformities. Respond to and report incidents as per Program requirements. Conduct root cause analyses and investigations, implementing corrective measures.
  • Plan, organize, and deliver security, market safety, and fleet safety training programs.
  • Build a robust Security & Safety culture within the market/affiliate and provide expert support on emergency response management.
  • Ensure effective budget management through proper planning, analysis, and regular monitoring of spending. Encourage productivity and cost-reduction initiatives within the team.
  • Provide guidance for vehicle selection, implementing fleet safety minimum requirements to ensure procurement of the correct standard of vehicles.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience managing security and safety operations in similar organizations (e.g., FMCG with large manufacturing and commercial operations).
  • Experience in handling and managing special situations (e.g., natural disasters, labour disputes, civil unrest).
  • Desirable experience in managing fleet safety.
  • Proven experience in budget management and service provider management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • CPP and CSMP certification preferred.
