Job Description
Our client is a Crisis, Risk and Resilience management solution provider, with a global team of experts that cover all aspects of their client’s, corporate security, travel security, security intelligence, risk and crisis management strategies. They are looking for a Security Manager to manage the security operations team (EMEA). This is a people management position, training and development is routed in the business’ core values, so you will be expected to take a vested interest in the team around you.
This would be an ideal position for someone with experience in the Military or Intelligence services, that now has a couple of years’ experience in a corporate environment, that is eager to develop their skills further in a dynamic role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Security professionals from the security operations centre, including performance reviews/management and scheduling resources.
- Be an advocate of the company’s best practices and values.
- Identify improvements to be made to internal training and strategies.
- Act as an expert on security procedures and assessments, acting as an escalation point for more high-risk situations, offering continued support to the teams on the ground and ensuring compliance with best safety and security practices.
- Support on escalated cases (sometimes out of hours), to bolster other teams and ensure protection of people, assets and information.
- Offer valuable insights into risks around local regions, working closely with the intelligence teams.
- Develop a strong network of trusted sources across the region.
- Build relationships with clients and act a project manager/ account manager, you will also deliver training sessions, create risk/crisis management plans and conduct security audits with them.
Experience:
- Military or Intelligence services experience.
- Corporate security or Security management services experience.
- Experience interacting with senior stakeholders or in a client facing position.
- Strong written and verbal communications.
- Great working knowledge of EMEA, have a good understanding of the threats/ challenges in the region.
- Experience developing crisis management, business resilience and security plans.
- Strong leadership skills, passionate about teamwork and able to motivate teams rather than just relying on hierarchy.
- Able to operate in a dynamic environment and remain focused on objective.
