We are partnered with a leading global FMCG firm in Indonesia, working with them to identify their new Senior Security and Safety Manager for Indonesia. Based from Jakarta, this senior and critical role will oversee all matters relating to the security and safety for the organisation, serving as the primary advisor to the security teams and management (including commercial and manufacturing units) on all security matters.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the local security organisation, aligning with corporate strategy and commitments. Evaluate potential security risks associated with emerging business and operational models and collaborate with leadership and other stakeholders to address these risks.
  • Identify and resolve security and safety issues, stay informed about internal and external risk exposures and trends in road accidents to support decision-making processes.
  • Conduct functional security and market/fleet safety risk assessments and reviews. Address any identified risks and non-conformities and respond to incidents in accordance with program requirements.
  • Plan and deliver security, market safety, and fleet safety training programs as per industry and local regulatory requirements. Provide expert guidance on tactical emergency response management to local management.
  • Ensure effective budget management by planning, analysing, and monitoring spending regularly. Encourage the team to generate productivity and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on the vehicle selection process, ensuring compliance with industry Fleet Safety requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum ten years of experience managing security and market safety operations in similar organisations in Indonesia, preferably in industries with extensive manufacturing and commercial operations.
  • Experience managing special situations such as natural disasters, labor disputes, and civil unrest.
  • Experience in fleet safety management would be advantageous.
  • Budget management and service provider management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred certifications: CPP and CSMP.
