Job Description

My client is currently seeking a Program Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in formulating risk-based security programs tailored to the Surface Transportation operations in EMEA. This involves the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of these programs, including the implementation of security solutions, processes, standards, SOPs, and other specifications for EMEA’s Surface Transportation operations.

Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting and participating in investigations related to losses and incidents within the Surface Transportation sector. They will conduct due diligence and audits to evaluate the security of potential or existing business partners and vendors involved in transportation, storage, logistics, and distribution. The role also involves defining and implementing regional security strategies for Surface Transportation education and awareness across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance tactical security programs in EMEA’s Surface Transportation to prevent theft and losses. This includes engaging internal and external stakeholders for the implementation of security solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support to Security and Loss Prevention teams, supply chain and transportation operations, coordination groups, and other stakeholders within the organization.
  • Establish and maintain liaison contacts with industry, law enforcement, government, and regulatory agencies to stay informed about legislation, industry trends, external risks, and new technologies related to Surface Transportation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards for Surface Transportation security, collaborate on security audits, and partner with stakeholders to implement effective audit programs. This includes assessing the security of business partners, vendors, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Support internal business stakeholders in promoting security as an added value and business differentiator. Provide input on high-risk business initiatives, collaborate on consistent standards, programs, assessments, and procedures for the supply chain.
  • Contribute to the implementation of security awareness campaigns and training packages for Security and Loss Prevention personnel. This includes addressing international threat and risk assessment, risk management, loss prevention, intelligence, MO’s, incident management, and investigations.
  • Identify and understand vulnerabilities and MO’s to reduce business losses from security incidents in the Surface Transportation sector. Act as the lead interface for wholesalers and third-party providers if required.

Qualifications

  • Experience within the European logistics, retail, supply chain and transportation security, compliance or operations.
  • Fluency in English required, both oral and written.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of leadership within the organization to drive consensus regarding new solutions, policies and procedures.
  • Willing to travel, domestic and international, including extended overnight trips.
