Job Description

Working within one of the most recognised global brands, this role will manage a small team to provide functional leadership on security and resilience matters across a large and diverse UK and Ireland footprint.

The postholder will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of all aspects of security operations, policies and procedures. This role ensures a safe and secure workplace by working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure procedures are in place protecting the organization’s physical property, its brands, and employees. This leader also serves as the company’s primary liaison with all outside agencies and threat/subject matter experts and specialty vendors on sensitive projects.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Responsible for threat and risk assessments across the UK&I
  • Provide cost-effective mitigating solutions
  • Future thinking of security landscape, externally networked well
  • Acts as a consultant at an early planning stage of any new project that may have security implications for his/her operational scope
  • Responsible for the introduction and maintenance of security guidelines, standards & best practices throughout UK&I as defined within the Group Security Strategy.
  • Ensure protection of employees, reputation, brands and products, and property and assets.
  • Proactively assess and notify management of any security, political, environmental or social developments that could impact upon the group travel directives
  • Provide security education and awareness activities, including leading continuing education efforts for sites and leadership teams as well as all employees through awareness programs
  • Contribute in the mitigation of IPR infringements (counterfeit) residual high risk via supporting the co-working group established between Security & Legal in investigation plans, facilitating data gathering & raids activities

Candidate profile;

  • Experience in a similar role or someone who has worked in a law enforcement, security / intelligence or enterprise security
  • Ability to be able to present and influence at all levels
  • Good Communications Skills
  • Proven experience working in a matrix organisation.
  • Well networked in the external networks, NGO, government, professional security associations
  • FMCG or logistics security experience would be advantageous
