Our client is a multinational manufacturer and they are looking to recruit a global physical, personnel and prototype security manager to develop, manage and coordinate the delivery of security governance (controls, policy and procedure), across the organisation. Alongside the governing and management of physical, personnel and prototype security across the business, you will be will be the main focal point in setting best practises for safeguarding sites, people and assets across the business globally.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular reviews and on-site audits to assess the effectiveness of security measures and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure the implementation of best practices, compliance, and risk management strategies in the physical, personnel, and prototype security domains.
- Provide support to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Business Information Security Officer (BISO) as needed, extending assistance beyond immediate role responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain security governance and controls, including thorough documentation, policies, procedures, and processes, in accordance with customer contractual obligations and industry standards.
- Stay updated on the evolving threat landscape to ensure local risk assessments accurately reflect potential risks and implement necessary controls.
- Define a preferred supplier and standard for physical security controls. Create technical specifications covering CCTV, Access Control Systems (ACS), Intruder Detection Systems (IDS), and related systems.
- Offer guidance, support, and training to site security representatives to enhance overall security awareness and competence.
- Coordinate project teams to deliver site-specific security activities, reporting progress to the CISO and program boards when required.
- Collaborate with HR and Legal functions to develop and maintain personnel security governance, including pre-employment and post-employment screening processes, as well as incident management procedures for personnel security issues
- Work alongside HR to develop travel risk management governance and establish supporting controls.
- Create and maintain travel security awareness materials, such as intranet resources and eLearning modules.
- Establish and manage prototype security governance in compliance with contractual obligations and industry best practices.
- Promote and maintain awareness and training initiatives for prototype security measures.
Requirements:
- Proven expertise in establishing and implementing physical and personnel security governance and controls within a global organization.
- Strong track record in effectively managing and reporting on risk, with experience in risk assessment methodologies and mitigation strategies.
- Current knowledge of the threat landscape, including understanding of threat actors and their potential impact on a global business.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and manage stakeholders up to C level.
- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in written, presentation, and verbal communication.
- Successful experience working as part of a team and actively contributing to overall team deliverables.
- Degree qualification in a relevant field.
- Ability to undertake international travel at short notice if required.
