We are once again excited to be working with a global technology risk and resilience organisation, who are looking for a resilient and decisive Chief of Staff and Head of Operations to lead the operational efficiency, strategic planning and organisational coordination of our client’s internal operations.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for managing and optimising the processes and procedures that support the core functions of the business whilst creating a positive and productive work environment for the employees within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Project Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO across all strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Own key/special projects and initiatives and drive them forward, identifying, and escalating risks, and proposing solutions proactively.
  • Partner with functional leaders to define priorities, drive development and execution of their strategic plans.

Performance Monitoring & Analysis

  • Drive excellence across the company, ensuring cross functional alignment and progress on objectives, goals, metrics, KPIs, OKR’s, and/or other defined measures of progress.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance of operations. Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Prepare and facilitate leadership team meetings; ensure that meeting objectives are met, track and document key takeaways and action items to move the business forward. Hold executives accountable for deliverables, and track calendar and time obligations.

Communication & Culture

  • Serve as owner of internal company communications; ensure communication between the leadership team, CEO, and employees is flowing smoothly and timed appropriately. Drive all-hands meetings and presentation.
  • Champion the organisation’s cultural values, promoting a culture of integrity, respect, diversity, and inclusion throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to articulate and reinforce cultural values, incorporating them into daily operations and decision-making processes.
  • Foster a culture of open communication and transparency across all levels of the organisation.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, soliciting feedback from stakeholders, and implementing best practices. Lead change management initiatives to drive organizational agility and adaptability in response to market dynamics and evolving business needs.

Risk Management

  • Identify potential risks to operations and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity and resilience. Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address operational disruptions and minimize impact on business operations.

Compliance & Regulation

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, particularly in areas such as health and safety, environmental sustainability, and data protection. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and proactively implement compliance measures to mitigate risk and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all projects and business operations are run in line with ISO 27001 & 9001 requirements.
  • Help lead and initiate change throughout the organization.

Process Improvement

  • Identifying opportunities to improve business processes and systems, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve overall performance.
  • Work closely with EA/Business Support Manager to ensure they are successful in their role supporting the CEO.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in operations management, leadership, and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organisational change.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience in risk management, compliance, and quality control.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Resilience and passion for working in an entrepreneurial environment with big ambition.
  • Diplomacy and excellent communication skills.
