Job Description
Our client is a market leading security protection and solutions provider, headquartered in Surrey and with an international portfolio. With their business growing at pace, they are now looking to recruit a commercially-driven Business Development Manager to join the organisation where you will play a pivotal role in client acquisition and spearheading the implementation of our client’s sales strategy.
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you’ll bring a strong experience in the business development space and ideally have experience in the corporate security space. They offer an outstanding package with a strong base salary, this is a role that would really suit someone with an entrepreneurial approach that enjoys making things happen!

Responsibilities:
- Achieve growth of the business by hitting sales targets.
- Implement the annual sales plan as directed for your area.
- Prospect for new clients by cold calling, networking, use of databases, or other means of generating interest from potential clients and turn this into new business.
- Build a pipeline of potential new business opportunities. Ensure these are prospected accordingly to maximise the chance of winning the business.
- CRM management of all sales opportunities to produce feedback for the weekly sales meeting.
- Provide weekly sales data to the management reporting.
- Prepare a weekly plan for the sales meeting detailing outlining proposed activity for the forthcoming week.
- Support the Operations Team during the initial contract rollout, ensuring a smooth deployment of new customers.
- Expand the current customer base with a focus on direct business.
- Identify merging markets and assist in the development of a plan to target these.
- Be fully aware of new products that have been brought to market. It is encouraged to attend retail shows to build knowledge.
- Identify merging markets and market shifts to gain first mover advantage.
- Be fully aware of the competition in our area, particularly those who offer similar products.
- Conduct CPD activities to enhance sales and product knowledge. This is to be agreed upon with your line manager.
- Prepare weekly sales reports as directed.
