Analyst – Due Diligence

We are once again working with a globally recognised intelligence consultancy who are looking to recruit an Analyst to join their dynamic and rapidly growing team in Kuala Lumpur and carry out a comprehensive and exciting remit for clientele in the APAC region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and critically analysing all information obtained whilst collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of cases.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth online research on subjects and their wealth generation using open-source tools and databases
• Critically analyse and assess information obtained from various sources, including media and human insights
• Provide valuable insights to support informed decision-making within the organization
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of the gathered information
• Stay informed about current affairs and conduct research on relevant issues and trends
• Present research findings and assessments clearly and concisely in written reports

Requirements:

• Proficiency in reading Chinese at a level that allows critical assessment of the meaning and relevance of media articles
• Demonstrated understanding of commercial dynamics in Greater China and Southeast Asia
• Demonstrated understanding of, or a strong interest in learning about, the various forms of corruption and sanctions evasion across sectors and geographies in Greater China and Southeast Asia
• Familiarity with the media and legal landscape in Greater China and Southeast Asia
• Strong writing skills in clear and concise business English
• Excellent teamwork and verbal communication abilities
• An agile and proactive approach to personal career development
