Reporting to the CEO, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Safety and Security to oversee and manage the security operations of the 24-hour operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing excellent security services in a similar role, be well-versed in overseeing and implementing solutions that blend a mixture of physical and technological solutions and possess exceptional leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the safety and security of our clients guests, employees and property.

Responsibilities

  • Using a risk-based approach, design and implement security policies, procedures and protocols, tailored to the individual needs of each our clients locations, ensuring the safety of guests, employees, and property,
  • Oversee the security team, providing direction and leadership, and ensuring that all security personnel are properly trained and equipped to carry out their duties
  • Regular visits to sites to perform risk assessments whilst engaging with Managers to understand their needs.
  • Build relationships with relevant authorities at a strategic level to ensure they have suitable oversight of the corporate commitment towards good practice safety and security.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies and emergency services to ensure timely response and support in case of an emergency
  • Monitor and analyse security-related data, such as incidents, trends, and threats, and make recommendations for improvements to security procedures and protocols, tailored by site.
  • Conduct regular security audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, and implement measures to mitigate them
  • Respond to security incidents promptly and effectively, providing leadership and guidance to all teams involved, tailored to the level of threat posed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of security incidents, investigations, and training activities
  • Develop and manage the security budget, ensuring that all expenditures are within budget and provide good value for money.
  • Benchmark the company’s strategy against other relevant organisations and continue to set relevant operational targets for the business.
  • Maintain and manage the company’s risk register ensuring risk management plans are implemented accordingly.
  • Produce guidance and training on Crisis Management based upon best practice principles, to ensure that the studios and wider business can implement effective ‘emergency procedures’ and have a defined programme for emergency preparedness.
  • Take the lead in appointing and managing 3rd party support providers (e.g.outsourced guarding) ensuring that they operate in accordance with our values and culture whilst meeting contractual SLAs and KPIs.
  • Build relationships with relevant authorities at a strategic level to ensure they have suitable oversight of the corporate commitment towards good practice safety and security.
  • Provide strategic input concerning Safety and Security for all new projects, joint ventures and capex investments.
  • Provide accurate and factual reporting on Safety and Security metrics and matters to the Executive Team and other key stakeholders.
