Job Description

Our client is a corporate intelligence and financial crime advisory firm with an international presence. They provide specialist due diligence, research, investigation and ESG services,  supporting their clients in managing complex risks across challenging jurisdictions. With a very broad client base that includes major banks and financial institutions, large multinationals, law firms, energy and healthcare companies, our client provides significant value to their clients by helping them to understand potential risks that will enable them to make informed decisions, particularly in relation to countries where the environment is opaque.

They are now seeking a senior business development executive to lead the continued growth of their business in France. The candidate will be responsible for the origination of business, growing out networks and working with other senior executives in the business to expand on their existing client accounts. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the candidate will be focused on pursuing revenue growth and driving commercial opportunities, will be creative in identifying varied opportunities and have a proven track record of devising sales strategy and meeting/exceeding sales targets.

The candidate will raise our clients’ profile and brand awareness in France and support business development efforts further afield. 

You will be autonomous and a proactive, motivated self-starter that enjoys working within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment that encourages new ideas. You will take accountability for your performance and be highly effective in collaborating with various stakeholders across the organisation. 

Key experience that we are looking for, includes – 

  • A proven track record of designing and developing sales strategy, cultivating business and having an established network of clients in the French market 
  • Demonstrable examples of meeting or exceeding metrics-driven targets 
  • A passion for identifying new accounts, cross-selling opportunities, and finding ways to demonstrate how to add value 
  • High degree of business acumen, solution-selling skills and the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly and distill these clearly and accurately to clients. Experience in the preparation of RFPs is welcome 
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to create relationships with clients including executive decision-makers, which create demand and preference 
  • Excellent communication skills in engaging, managing and collaborating with stakeholders and clients 
  • Strong ability to create and increase brand awareness through managing client-driven activities such as conferences, webinars, seminars, briefings and other networking events. 
  • Excellent management, leadership and teamwork skills to deliver positive outcomes for the entire organisation 
  • Familiarity with business development or sales software such as Salesforce or Simply CRM 
  • Business Development or sales experience in the enhanced due diligence, research or investigations industry (or related industries such as market entry, political risk, strategic communications and consulting) is desirable but not essential. We also welcome applicants who have a sales background in banking, finance or law. 
  • Fluency in French and English is essential
