Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Development to drive new business sales, key account acquisition, and expand existing client relationships to meet ARR targets. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of scaling SaaS businesses and excels in business development, sales leadership, and strategic account management.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Build and execute the go-to-market strategy for a SaaS solution, driving international growth.
- Lead a high-performing sales team to achieve ARR sales targets.
- Develop sales plans for new client acquisition and current client expansion.
- Cultivate relationships with senior executives to understand client needs and facilitate business development.
- Analyse the competitive landscape and develop direct sales plans for rapid market growth.
- Design a relevant channel and partnership model to support scaling the organization.
Global Key Accounts & Industry Expansion
- Identify and develop global key accounts, aiming for expansion in 2025.
- Lead sales efforts across multiple geographies and industries to drive business growth.
- Create and execute account planning-led strategies to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
Management & Leadership
- Provide hands-on leadership, mentoring, and coaching to the sales team to drive performance.
- Define recruitment needs and operating models to meet sales targets.
- Develop and implement a standardised sales process, optimizing CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Collaborate with product teams to gather client feedback and influence the development roadmap.
- Inspire and lead by example, fostering passion and energy within the team.
- Maintain clear visibility of pipeline, coverage, and sales forecasts.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the SaaS/Tech industry, with a focus on enterprise software sales.
- Strong consultative/solution selling skills using methodologies like SPIN or MEDDIC.
- Experience in selling to mid-size to large enterprises, with a hands-on approach to closing deals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to analyze client information and develop tailored sales solutions.
- Strong organizational and self-assessment skills for continuous improvement.
