This a real flagship role with a best in class brand, where you be responsible for defining and leading the strategic direction of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) function across the entire organisation.

You will be liaising with various internal and external partners and functions to scope, develop, coordinate, implement, maintain, and improve a strategic and operational Business Continuity Management system, leading and coordinating emergency and crisis management during disruptive events as required. 

A key objective for the role is to become a strong central partner for the business and therefore you will initiate and strengthen the focus on business continuity management and facilitate the preparation and maintenance of business continuity plans. 

Successful delivery of this role will require close collaboration with all areas of the business, as well as Senior Management (EXCO and Regional CEO’s). 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Partner with senior stakeholders in all regions, and across manufacturing to supply chain to further develop and define the internal BCM governance structure and framework within the business. 
  • Drive commitment, ownership, accountability, and results within the overall business for the BCM program. 
  • Ensure that business impact analysis are conducted to identify critical activities, and that the link and connection between the different business areas and 3rd parties are included. 
  • Ensure that Business Continuity Plans and test schedules are established for identified critical activities and processes. 
  • Lead and coordinate (via other senior stakeholders) BCM program implementation, and assist the business in reporting, analysis, and assessment of the program status. 
  • Create a system for capturing learnings from disruptive incidents with the objective of growing resilience across the business. 
  • Develop and deliver awareness and training programs focused on growing resilience. 
  • Constantly identify new emerging risks that have the potential to disrupt business. 
  • Participate in the proper functioning of the Corporate Security Department and its strategy by providing feedback on the Entities needs, proposing new projects and ideas for development. 
  • • Participate in local and international forums and conferences on BCM topics representing the business. 

Personal qualifications/competencies: 

Succeeding in the role requires strong stakeholder management skills at all levels in the organisation, and extensive technical and practical insights in systems and processes.

Furthermore, an analytical and holistic approach as well as the capability of coping with changes is key to succeeding in the role. 

The preferred candidate has a proven track record within similar positions in the private sector and can demonstrate strong capability in the following: 

  • Good people and communication skills at all levels within the organisation 
  • Good team building skills and ability to cooperate with other teams 
  • Personal drive to achieve and deliver results 
  • Ability to deal with and manage disruptive events 
  • Sound business understanding and experience with providing solutions that meet strategic and operational business needs 
  • Experience in negotiation/cooperation with management teams and project managers 
  • Experience with vendor management 
  • Experience with implementation of full Business Continuity System life cycles in a similar environment
