Job Description

We are looking for a Group Business Continuity Specialist with experience across the Business Continuity lifecycle. You will experienced in conducting business impact analysis and be excited about the opportunity to contribute towards building and developing new BCM programs from the ground up.

This position will offer a high degree of visibility as our fast moving tec client takes Business Continuity from theory to practice over the coming 12-18 months.  The position reports to their newly formed Group Resilience team, situated within the Global Security & Resilience organisation, and is tasked with building resilience across all of the organization. As part of the Group Resilience team, encompassing Cyber and Fraud incident management and crisis management and business continuity, the Business Continuity Specialist will be vital in translating BC strategy, policy, and planning to their stakeholders.

You will be instrumental in leveraging the heightened awareness around resiliency to deliver a best-in-class BC program in a dynamic, challenging, and rewarding environment. This role will join the current BC PM and help lay the foundational elements needed such as risk assessments,business impact assessments, BCM governance, and compliance.

This position requires a high degree of flexibility, technical capability, independence, and the ability to problem-solve. The ideal candidate will be comfortable adapting to ambiguity and have a proven track record of delivering activities and impressive results in specialist level roles.

You will be able to –

  • Influence leadership and key teams throughout the business to support and invest in BC, ensuring a reliable and working ‘First line’
  • With direction from senior team members, work with key stakeholders, deliver Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessments, to identify the key risks to operations, mapping critical functions, and prioritizing bespoke BC roll-out
  • Function as a point of contact for BC, creating strong formal and informal networks with cross-functional partners to drive engagement and program viability
  • Assist in developing the Global Business Continuity Roadmap, ensuring it includes Operational Resilience, Disaster Recovery, and Global Incident Response.
  • Contribute to on-going review and improvement of the Business Continuity Management Program
  • Review and assess Key 3rd party & partner BC arrangements
  • Support periodic or ad hoc compliance and audit reviews
  • Conduct plan development, training, and exercise workshops with business units to raise business continuity awareness and preparedness for crisis or business disruptive events
  • Support the technical implementation and update of the Fusion Resilience platform and ensure its readiness for use in the BCM program


The person!

With 3 to 5 years of experience of working in BCM in complex, decentralized environment, you will be a member of the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), Business Continuity Institute (BCI), or other business continuity professional certification

Highly organized and focused on prioritization, planning, tracking, and coordination across programs with strong attention to detail in a fast-moving, high pressured environment, you must be able to grow and foster strong relationships with employees across functions and geographic locations

You will excellent google suite, Microsoft office skills, and ease with adapting to new technology. Experience with Fusion (BCM system) or other related BCM software is a plus

Finally you will have spectacular communication skills (oral and written to unique audiences) and you must be able to guide and positively influence stakeholders while building trust and cooperation.
