We are excited to work with a diverse international security firm who are looking to hire a new head for their operations in Nigeria. The role will have full responsibility for the management and operations of the business in Nigeria and its regional subsidiaries;

We are looking for an allrounder; candidates must have excellent operational awareness of security services in Nigeria, plus strong commercial experience, including:
BD prowess
Proposal writing skills
Management of local staff
The ability to prioritise
Board reporting and P&L management
You must be prepared to travel on behalf of the company and to attend bi-annual Director meetings;
Candidate requirements
- Have over 8 years commercial experience in a senior management role;
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Have previous experienced relating to Gulf of Guinea maritime security sector and a thorough knowledge and understanding of maritime security compliance;
- Have the technical capability to lead with tenders, proposals and submissions relating to the company’s core services with minimal support and oversight;
- Manage, maintain and foster all current company clients and prospective clients;
- Develop new business and upselling opportunities for the company business at the local level and supporting the wider Group with business opportunities as necessary;
- Be a proven security industry professional with direct Nigeria related business experience;
- Have an effective local network, with business contacts relevant to our supply chain;
- Manage and maintain all current and future suppliers to meet business needs, in accordance with company processes;
- Have local-level experience to effectively manage and coordinate business development and operational activity;
- Forecast, manage and implement; entity status reports, P&L reports, operations reports and business development opportunities;
- Be an excellent communicator and culturally aware in relation to Nigeria and the wider Gulf of Guinea region;
- Provide leadership, management and support to all employees, subordinates and subcontractors;
- Lead with the fostering and career development of all staff and with the timely performance reviews of all staff;
- Be proficient in all Microsoft applications and highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
