As the organisation has evolved and grown, as has their global security function – creating this exciting opportunity. This will be a senior security management position that reports directly to the Chief Security Officer, with accountabilities globally that will serve to support the businesses in achieving their operational and commercial objectives, across what is a very complex and high security risk environment. The role oversees the design, implementation, and administration of appropriately scaled security programs to include security reporting, investigations, insider threat, risk intelligence, travel/event security and security training and awareness.
Responsibilities include
- Develop and execute comprehensive security programs which will align with the company’s overall security strategy in line with risk appetite and Global Security risk environment.
- The development and execution of a full cycle security incident reporting program. Maintaining a comprehensive database of security incidents to assist in strategic planning and risk mitigation.
- Oversee the global standards and formats for security reporting throughout, and manages strategic and operational governance globally.
- Develop and execute a global insider risk program working closely with various departments and functional leadership. Deliver training to sectors and site leadership.
- Develop and oversee the Global Security investigation program. Lead on complex investigations, alongside third parties, across business units and regional geographic footprints.
- Oversee a global intelligence program utilising third party, internal and partner intelligence resources focusing on known and potential threats to employee safety, company security, business operations, or reputational risks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies, and other public and private bodies that focus on threat reporting and intelligence within the company’s risk profile.
- Lead and oversee all M&A/divestment activity from a security standpoint. Manage any risk in line with risk appetite.
- Develop and oversee the global employee travel and event protection program. Provide support and advice related to security and safety at corporate events and meetings globally for the purpose of protecting the people attending as well as protection of the company’s reputation.
- Develop a security awareness program within the company. Deliver a variety of awareness training & advocacy programs (Emergency Preparedness; Emergency Communications; Workplace Violence; etc.,) in collaboration with local stakeholders.
- Oversee and manage any business development support for business units.
- Work closely with the Security Operation and Security Assurance service teams in delivery of various Security programs and improvement activities.
Person Specification
- Recognised qualifications in Security or Business Management at degree level or equivalent.
- Vocational qualification such as ASIS CPP, CSMP preferred
- Extensive experience working as a Security Manager within a multi-national corporation.
- Experience in managing global security investigations.
- Experience in building programs while coordinating with global partners.
- Experience managing security reporting and escalations.
- Understanding of intelligence agencies, private sector intelligence companies and holistic threat assessments.
- A focus on quality and an attention to detail with strong problem solving and analytical skills & concise report writing skills.
- A pragmatic negotiator and influencer while remaining independent and providing challenge.
- An ability to identify and articulate root causes, themes and systemic issues.
- Part of a proactive and supportive external network to enable regular benchmarking and valuable knowledge.
- Working at a variety of different levels and an ability to talk to internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and resourceful self-starter/ motivator with the ability to work without close direct supervision.

- Strong Microsoft Office (or equivalent) skills.
